Throughout this intensive 3-day course, Tanya will guide you through everything from brow mapping and skin analysis to colour theory, pigment selection, and creating natural-looking, fluffy brows with fine, hair-like strokes. You'll spend plenty of time practising creative hair-stroke patterns using a microblade tool and practice skin, developing your technique and building confidence through hands-on learning every day.

You'll also observe Tanya demonstrate a complete microblading appointment from start to finish, followed by an in-class Q&A where you can ask questions, take notes, and gain a deeper understanding of the process.

Because the real learning happens through practice, students will have the opportunity to perform two full microblading appointments on live models under Tanya's supervision and guidance. This hands-on experience allows you to apply what you've learned, receive personalized feedback, and better understand how to work with real clients.

Beyond the technique itself, you'll learn the safety and sanitation standards associated with the tattoo industry, proper aftercare instructions, the healing process, and how to confidently approach each stage of a microblading appointment. We'll also cover the business side of becoming a brow artist, including consultations, pricing, photography and editing, social media marketing, and strategies for attracting clients and building your clientele.

1. Rent a treatment bed or work within an established business

This is often a great starting point for new artists! Consider renting a treatment bed or entering into a rental or contract arrangement with an established beauty salon, microblading studio, or tattoo shop. This can help keep overhead costs lower while allowing you to gain experience, build your clientele, and establish yourself in the industry.

2. Start a home-based business

If you prefer working from home, a home-based studio may be an option. However, requirements for cosmetic tattooing can vary by location, so check with your local business licensing department and health authority to confirm whether your property is eligible and what approvals are required before getting started.

3. Lease your own commercial space

Leasing a commercial, retail, or office space can give you more independence and room to grow your brand. However, this option comes with higher overhead costs and additional responsibilities. It's generally worth considering once you've established a consistent clientele and feel financially prepared to manage the expenses.

This documents your training, but it isn't a government-issued licence or a guarantee that you're automatically authorized to practise. You'll also need to meet any applicable local health authority, business licensing, insurance, and other requirements before offering services.

You'll work on your foundational skills, receive personalized feedback, and learn about client consultations, aftercare, and the practical steps involved in starting your career. I want you to understand not just how to perform microblading, but how to approach it professionally.

Starting your own microblading business begins with building your skills and understanding the requirements for operating legally and safely. You'll need to consider your business registration, licensing, insurance, approved workspace, supplies, pricing, booking system, and marketing. During training, we'll discuss the business side of becoming a brow artist so you have a clearer idea of what to do next and how to start building your clientele.

Yes! Microblading Mastery will provide you with the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience to begin your journey as a brow artist. After completing your training, it's recommended that you practise on at least five people you know to gain additional experience, refine your technique, and build your portfolio before taking on paying clients.

Microblading artists commonly charge between $300 and $600 per session, depending on their experience, location, and clientele. Many established artists perform around two appointments per day, with the potential to complete up to four sessions daily with a full schedule.

As a new artist, you may wish to start by charging approximately half the average rate in your area while you continue improving your skills, gaining experience, and building your portfolio. As your confidence and clientele grow, you can gradually increase your pricing.

Before accepting paying clients, make sure you've met all applicable health authority, business licensing, insurance, and practice requirements in your area. Remember, building a successful career takes time, practice, and dedication — and I'll help you understand the steps to take as you get started!

No previous microblading experience is required for beginner training. Microblading Mastery is designed for aspiring brow artists who are ready to learn, practise, and develop their skills. A willingness to take feedback, pay attention to detail, and put in the work is essential. You'll also need to complete the required bloodborne pathogens training before your course begins.

You're not on your own once training ends! Your course includes post-training mentorship and support, so you can ask questions as you continue practising and building your confidence. I want you to have guidance beyond the classroom as you navigate your early experiences as a brow artist.

My small-group classes are intentionally kept intimate, with a maximum of four students, so everyone has the opportunity to receive individual attention and feedback.
