WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?

A lash lift is similar to a perm, but for your lashes. This treatment simply alters the shape and colour of your natural lashes, so that you can wake up and go. The results are similar to curling your lashes and applying mascara and look very natural!.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A LASH LIFT?

Please arrive with clean, make-up free lashes. Do not wear contacts during your treatment.  Avoid caffeine that day or at least three hours prior to your appointment to ensure you have a relaxing experience. It also makes it easier to provide the treatment without excessive eye fluttering. Avoid curling your natural lashes for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Stop using waterproof mascara 48 hours before your procedure since it leaves behind unwanted residue. 

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A LASH LIFT APPOINTMENT?

Before your appointment begins, we will discuss the different types of curls for your lash lift. A variety of curl rods are available for different types of curls, and we will select the right curl based on your desires for a more natural or dramatic curl.

During your appointment, your eyes will need to be kept closed with two eye pads in place. The silicone rods are placed on each eye and then your lashes are carefully combed onto the rod using water based glue. A lifting solution is applied onto your lashes near the base of lashes and away from the eye for 6 - 15 min depending on the thickness of your lashes. A setting solution is applied for 4 – 13 minutes. Each solution is removed in an upward motion away from eye to ensure no product gets in the eye. If a tint is necessary, it will be applied at the very end for up to 5 minutes. Clean up, remove the pads and rod and your beautiful lashes are ready to go!

  • The lash lift treatment involves lifting each individual lash before tinting them for thicker, darker, longer looking lashes. Mimicking the effect of an eyelash curler. A silicone pad is applied to the eyelid and then your lashes are glued back to the pad, a lifting and setting solution is applied during your treatment between the root and middle of the lash. The last step of this treatment being an oil to nourish your lashes. This treatment is low maintenance making it a great alternative to eyelash extensions or for people who curl their lashes everyday or have naturally straight lashes.

  • No. This is a non-invasive and pain-free treatment.

  • The lash lift results last roughly 6-8 weeks. Depending on how fast your lashes shed, you may wish to come in for a re-lift at 4-6 weeks.

  • You may have this service redone every 4 - 6 weeks. Although a lash lift can last up to 8 weeks, you can come in whenever you feel that your lift needs a refresh.

  • For the first 24 hours:

    Do not allow any moisture near your lashes.

    Avoid showering, washing your face, swimming, sauna, steam-rooms, etc.

    Don’t use eyelash curlers

    Don’t apply any makeup around the eye area

    We use 24 hours as a buffer time to allow the lashes to set properly and avoid any issues with the lift.

It is recommended to seek a professional to receive this service. Lashes will commonly be more dry after a lift, and applying oil to your lashes is recommend to keep them nourished.

  • Adding a tint to your lash lift will result in a dramatic but very nature appearance. A tint is suggested for anyone that feels their lashes are darker after applying mascara. If you have naturally dark lashes, you may forego a tint with your lash lift service.

  • Yes! You can still wear mascara with a lash lift, but you must allow a minimum of 24 hours after your service before applying mascara.

  • You must wait 24 hours after a lash lift to have a shower. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for the solution in your lashes to set prior to getting your lashes wet.
